Megan and I arrived in Pisco on friday, a very small town about 200 km to the argentine boarder. As the name implies its famous for it’s pisco alcohol. It is an absolutely gorgeous town with vineyards everywhere, every square inch of available flat land is used, actually even the hills are used for agriculture. The entire town is surrounded by the Andes, the closest mountain to us is about 3600 feet which apparently isn’t even one of the big ones. The valley here is so different to that at home, comparing it to something like Squamish. The mountains here seem so incredibly close together. As much as we’ve loved the valley and quaint town, what has really made this an amazing stay is our hostel. We are staying in out own little cabana with 3 beds, the grounds around the hostel are amazing, an incredible variety of flowers, grapes and fruits plus a very nice German staff.
